Ullal: Dr.Jayaram Shetty (53), a specialist doctor in the department of radiation oncology cancer unit at KS Hegde Charitable Hospital, passed away on January 11 due to a massive heart attack. After completing his post-graduation in medicine from KMC Medical College in Mangaluru, he worked in the radiation oncology department for more than a decade and has been working in the radiation oncology department of Justice K S Hegde Hospital in Deralakatte for the past 11 years. He suffered a heart attack while on his way home from work till Wednesday evening to attend an event and died on the way to the hospital. Nitte is the chancellor of the deemed university. Vinay Hegde, Managing Director, Justice K.S. Sudhakar, and the doctors and staff of Hegde Hospital expressed their condolences. He leaves behind his wife Jyothi, daughter Vyaksha and a host of relatives and friends.
