Higher education workshop at Mangalore University, quality not accidental

Ullal: The demand for higher education in India today is increasing and it is lagging behind in providing quality education accordingly. The quality is not accidental. There is a need to ensure quality through systematic perseverance, passion for knowledge, and creative learning experiments,” said Prof M G Sethuraman, retired registrar of The Gandhigram Rural Institute Deemed University in Tamil Nadu.

He was speaking after inaugurating a university-level workshop on ‘Evaluation and Ranking of Higher Educational Institutions in association with IQAC, Association of British Scholars, Mangalore University on Saturday. Today The Gap Between Teaching And Learning Is Widening And With The Aim Of Bridging This Gap, The Nac Evaluation Is Underway There Is A Need To Create Higher Education Institutions Of Global Standards.

Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor Prof. P.S. Yadapadithaya said that the National Education Policy 2020 has paved the way for a radical change in the education sector and it needs to be implemented properly. He said that there is a need to formulate and systematically document academic activities through team effort.

Prof. K.R. Chandrasekhar, Secretary, Association of British Scholars, Mangaluru, was the resource person at the function. Mangalore University Finance Officer Prof. Y. Sangappa presided over the function. Prof. Manjunath Pattabhi, Director, IQAC, Mangalore University, and Convener of the program welcomed the gathering. Prof. Monika Sadananda, Associate Director, IQAC proposed. Prof. Vishalakshi B. thanked the gathering. Dr. Narrated by Preethi Keerthi D’Souza

The workshop was attended by professors of Mangalore University, principals of affiliated colleges of the university, and representatives of IQAC.
